The Renowned Musician Encourages Backing to Propel Together for Palestine Track to UK Festive Top Spot.

A charity drive is aiming to launch a cultural melody to the peak of the festive singles chart. The campaign seeks to deliver assistance to communities in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian artistic heritage.

An Opportunity for Support and an "Chart Upset"

Renowned figure Brian Eno, who features on the track, stated that the single 'Lullaby' represents a chance to show solidarity with Palestinians over the Christmas period. He remarked the potential for an unlikely festive coup.

“That would be amazing if that occurred, yes,” he stated. “I wouldn't be completely let down if it doesn't manage to, holiday tracks are a thing unto themselves.”

Defiant Message of Freedom and Dignity

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the adaptation of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the song's defiant core message.

“It occupies a deeply meaningful spot for a lot of people,” Barghouti shared. “The essence is that I would choose to perish with honor than exist without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we seek to lead a respectful existence that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Production History and Star-Studded Lineup

The song was recorded after a large-scale benefit event held in the autumn. Originally intended to be captured during the live event, the performance was cut from the show due to scheduling overruns.

The impressive roster of performers contributing to Lullaby encompasses a range of well-known figures from the industry. All participated in the earlier concert, which managed to collect a significant sum for relief efforts.

Final Touches and Availability

Lullaby was produced by a trio of music creators. The track features a mix of the traditional Arabic lyrics with new English lyrics.

The group managing the initiative have clarified that their goal is to raise as much as possible for a dedicated fund. These donations will be allocated to Palestinian causes through an established charity.

“We don’t have a rigid aim,” a figure said. “We aim for whatever we can get. Obviously, the higher the total, the greater the impact. All proceeds are directed out to the people of Gaza.”

The reality in the territory was characterized as its extreme devastation, with a huge proportion of infrastructure described as in ruins or severely impacted.

“Given that reality, a handful of millions is unlikely to make an enormous impact. But I think the significant factor is first of all making this cause better known and demonstrating there’s another side to the story.”

The track is scheduled for release on Friday. Additionally, a complete film of the charity concert will be made ready to watch on a digital service from mid-December.
